State of the Garden Report May 16

We have had enough rain this spring.
It has helped our garlic, onions and potato crops grow well.

But it has made it difficult to till.

We haven't asked for it to stop raining because we know that if it gets too dry...nothing will do well.  We are still working out a watering system at the farm that does not use rain and hand-watering.

Instead, we are making peace with the fast-growing grass (and weeds!)...and mowing a lot.
